Field Welding and Fabrication Services
Not many people realize it, but in 1973 when Illinois Valley Millwright (now On Site Repair Services) was founded, our first service offered was field welding. All our field service technicians are AWS (American Welding Society) certified in all positions, techniques and most materials. We are more than a quick fix for your maintenance issues. Our skilled welders are able to weld the most exotic and difficult of materials (think copper and aluminum welding) in challenging environments. We have continuing education for all our field welding experts in order to ensure they’re skill-sets continue to develop. Welding is a daily occurrence for our journeymen which allows them to hone their skills even further. It is what our business was built on and contributes to a major part of our success today.
Sometimes a facility’s job may require more than a quick repair weld. We are also able to do field fabrication based on a customers’ specifications and designs. We are able to fabricate on site whether it’s process piping, structural, etc. Our ability to do field fabrication comes with 45+ years in the business. We understand that not all jobs can be completed in a shop, so we offer many flexible options.
Whether it’s preventive maintenance or emergency repair, On Site’s field technicians are equipped to handle just about any job when it comes to field welding. All our technicians are AWS certified and are able to handle various materials and positions. The last thing we want is additional downtime due to missing equipment or lack of skills. We ensure our team is fully equipped and continues their certifications at our in-house AWS accredited facility.
